Meet the Staff

  • Lead Pastor: Bruce Craig

Serving Jesus Christ is an incredible journey and as I look back through the years I can say, "God, you are faithful."  I graduated from Bellbrook High School in 1977.  Before coming to Christ, I was an agnostic.  In November of 1978 I had a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ that totally transformed who I was and the direction I was going.  My lovely wife, Charlene, is from Niagara Falls, New York where she met Christ at an early age.  We both share a common call to the full-time ministry.  We met at Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri where I earned a BA degree in Bible and Pastoral Ministries.  We got married September of 1984.  God has blessed us with four beautiful children and four grandchildren.

In August of 2007, I accepted the Pastorate of Kettering Assembly of God.  Before coming to Kettering, I pastored Church in New York and Maryland.  I have always enjoyed the great outdoors, whether I'm hiking in the woods, fishing, boating or hunting.  My greatest passion in life is to introduce others to the Savior, Jesus Christ our Lord.

  • Associate and Outreach Pastor: Dustin Renz

Dustin is a graduate of Southeastern University.  He has been a credentialed minister with the Assemblies of God since 2009.  He has been married to his wife Brittany for 2005 and they have two amazing daughters, Abigail and Claire.  Through the last several years they have served in ministry together in America and overseas.  Their passion is to see people attain all that God has for them through a pursuit of holiness and going deeper with the Lord.  They are also driven to reach the Dayton area with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

  • youth and Worship Pastor and Children's Ministry Director:  Chuck and Ashley Sharp

Chuck and Ashley have a passion for the next generation.  They lead Ignited Youth Ministry as well as Power Surge Kid's Church.  Chuck graduated from the University of Dayton with a BS degree in Engineering and is an anointed worship leader.  Ashley graduated from Wright State University with a BS degree in Elementary Education and taught in a Christian school for two years.  Together they make an excellent team and are helping to disciple our children and youth into a committed relationship with Jesus Christ.  Both Chuck and Ashley grew up in Christian homes and understand all of the pressures and temptations that this generation faces.  They are both excited about leading the next generation and watching them fall deeper in love with Jesus!  They have been married for five years and have a beautiful little girl.

  • Christian Education Director: Vicky Rose

Vicky has attended Kettering Assembly of God for the past 22 years and has been a part of the staff for the past 3 years.  She overseas the adult and children's discipleship hour and is the lead teacher of the preschool children's church.  Vicky directs Vacation Bible School and is involved in the Mission's Ministry of the church.

Vicky has an Associates degree in Christian Education from Berean Bible College and a BA in Early Childhood Education, Church Ministries and Psychology from Liberty University.  She is continuing her education at Liberty working toward an MA in Psychology and Crisis Care Ministries.

Vicky's greatest passion is to serve Christ and others by helping them to grow in their faith through accurate Biblical instruction.

Vicky's husband Les is also involved in various ministries.  They have 8 children and 10 grandchildren.  She enjoys developing curriculum and hopes to create children's literature.

  • Celebrate Recovery: Woody and Sherry Smith

Woody and Sherry joined Kettering Assembly of God in March of 2009. Woody has been with the CR program here since its inception in January 2012, serving as the men's small group co-leader and leader. He was appointed as CR Director in February 2018 and was joined by his wife Sherry. Woody is also the church treasurer and has served on the Pastor's Deacon Board. Sherry ministers on the Praise Team and has been a member of the church choir. Together, they routinely substitute as facilitators for the Marriage Sunday School class.

Previous to their ministry at KAG, Woody served as a member on the Deacon Board and Direction of Christian Education in a local Pentecostal Church.  He also taught Army ROTC at a local high school full time for 14 years and is a retired Army Officer. Sherry was the "God's Go-Getters" youth leader on Wednesday evenings for many years, teaching children from ages five to thirteen.

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered 12 step program ministering to people with hurts, hang-ups and habits that many face today. They are seeing dramatic healings and life-changing things happen as only the Lord can do!

  • ABLAZE Children's Ministry: Ed and Amy Clack

Ed and Amy love seeing kids follow after God's heart and on fire for Him!  Together, they lead the Wednesday night ministry, ABLAZE Kids, for ages Pre-K through 5th grade.

They both come from loving, Christian homes as both sets of parents are ministers.  Both Ed and Amy are graduates of Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, GA.  Ed continued on to pursue his calling, medicine.  During that time, Ed and Amy worked full time as well as children and youth pastors in Orlando, FL.  When it came time for medical school, they found themselves in Mesa, AZ and then Ohio.

Through every move and new city, Ed and Amy continued to serve in kids ministry, knowing how vital it is for our kids to know Christ.  Dealing with personal hardships with the health of one of their children, they want to make sure all kids have a loving, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Settling in the Dayton area, Ed has opened his private Family Medicine practice.  They have three awesome kids that Amy chases around full time!
